Orkney Stools are as traditional as the Orkney Chair and make the perfect accompaniment. Mortise and tenon joints are used in the making of an Orkney stool which are well known for their strength adding to the sturdiness of this design. Hand woven seagrass tops are used on all Orkney stools which makes each piece completely unique and these tops can be made in any size to accommodate the stool size. The Orkney stool is finished using Linseed oil giving it a protective finish whilst also bringing to life the true beauty of the wood.

Orkney Stools can be made in any size and in a various selection of wood. Generally, they are made from Oak but other timber may be used at the customers request. The Orkney Furniture Maker always welcomes specially commissioned orders on request.
